White House Responds to Lobbyists Concerning New Restrictions

Politico reports that the White House sent a letter to a group of lobbyists reiterating its intent to enforce the new policy prohibiting lobbyists from serving on agency advisory boards and commissions.  The lobbyists had sent a letter to the President asking him to reconsider the policy.  The letter from Norm Eisen, special counsel to the President for ethics and government reform, forcefully reiterates the Administration’s position on this issue.  This will be an issue to watch in the coming weeks.
