“House Committee Aims To Step Up Election Oversight”

The Hill reports that the House Committee on Administration, the House committee with jurisdiction over the Election Assistance Commission and the Federal Election Commission (“FEC”), intends to hold oversight hearings on the two agencies in the coming months.  On deck for the FEC – the delay in removing the regulations thrown out by the federal courts on constitutional grounds more than one year ago, including the regulations affected by the Supreme Court’s Citizens United case.
