“Left, Right Gear Up For Campaign-Finance Clash Before 2012 Elections”

The Hill offers this report on the behind the scenes maneuvering of campaign finance reform groups and others on campaign finance legislation in the new Congress.  The reformers want to pass new campaign finance restrictions while House Republicans will hold a vote on eliminating the antiquated public financing system for presidential candidates – a move that will save taxpayers over $500 million dollars.
