Federal Court Upholds Party Coordinated Limits in Cao v. FEC

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a decision Friday upholding the coordinated party limits in Cao v. FEC.  The Republican National Committee, Republican Party of Louisiana, and Congressman Cao challenged the party coordinated limits on constitutional grounds.  

The Federal Election Commission’s case summary for Cao v. FEC can be found here.  There appears to be more than meets the eye in this decision and I will try post some thoughts on this case in the coming week.
