DISCLOSE Act Mystery: Is There An Undisclosed Amendment To The DISCLOSE Act On The House Calendar?

This one just appeared on my radar.  Apparently, a new DISCLOSE Act prohibition was introduced on June 28, 2010, has been placed on the House calendar, and may see floor action today.  The bill,  HR 5609, would amend the existing foreign national ban (2 U.S.C. 441e) .  Specifically, it would prohibit any registered federal lobbyist whose clients include foreign governments, companies or individuals from making contributions or any campaign-related disbursements in elections for public office.

Here is a link to the text of HR 5609 and another one to the summary page.

UPDATE: I am now hearing that HR 5609 will be pulled or dramatically changed.  I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.
