Redistricting’s Practical Hurdles

Politics Magazine published an article discussing redistricting challenges in the era of McCain-Feingold’s national party committee soft money ban.  The article can be found here.

The Republican National Committee (“RNC”) filed a lawsuit in federal court challenging the soft money ban on constitutional grounds.  If successful, the RNC may be permitted to establish a redistricting account that will receive and spend soft money on redistricting activities.  My previous posts on the RNC case can be found here and here.
